HITE Engineering provides services to building owners, lessee or managers of warehouse facilities with storage racking, lifting devices, pallet wrappers, mezzanines or other structures or machinery. It is a requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations (OHSA) and the Ontario Building Code (OBC), that these types of structures and machines be reviewed by an engineer. In addition to structural and mechanical reviews, it is also required to have proper area classification and fire safety plans put in place in accordance with the National Fire Code of Canada (NFC).
